Online portal launched for £200 Alternative Fuel Payment

If you use an alternative fuel as your main heating source, you are entitled to an alternative fuel payment of £200. This includes alternatives such as heating oil, LPG, coal or biomass.

If you do not have a relationship with an electricity supplier, you must apply to receive the payment.

You can do this via the government portal here: www.gov.uk/apply-alternative-fuel-bill-support-if-not-automatic.

The helpline is open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and a representative will guide applicants through the process.
