After nearly 18 years with WRCC, our current Chief Executive has decided to retire. We are therefore seeking a new Chief Executive Officer to lead WRCC into an exciting future – could this be you?

WRCC is part of the ACRE Network – a vibrant collection of over 35 charities across England dedicated to supporting and representing rural communities. We have a lot in common, though each is an independent charity with its own mix of priorities and services. WRCC works in Warwickshire and Solihull.

WRCC is an amazing place to work with a fantastic team of 30 volunteers and over 50 paid staff. We have a large minibus community transport scheme, a thriving Warm Hubs project that supported over 80 Warm Hubs over the winter and a community oil-buying syndicate that just recently ordered its 10 millionth litre of fuel. Our affordable housing project celebrated its 20th anniversary last year and has helped provide over 320 affordable homes in rural communities. We recently launched a new meals-on-wheels service, delivering hot food to people across Warwickshire 365 days a year. We collaborate with our sister organisation in Leicestershire and Rutland to support over 400 village and community halls. WRCC is growing: we had a turnover of £1m in 2023/24 and is forecast to reach over £1.3m in 2024/25.

You will have a proven record of achievement in a senior leadership role in the charity or related sector. You will have experience in developing strategic plans. You will be able to show a commitment to building communities, relieving poverty, challenging disadvantage and maximising social benefit. WRCC prides itself on acting with honesty and integrity – we are trusted by communities – and you will be able to exemplify these values.

We are offering a salary of circa £55k, a 5% contribution to our auto-enrolment pension and 24 days annual leave.

If you wish to apply for this exciting role, please read our Job Description and Person Specification and send your CV to enquiries@wrccrural.org.uk. The closing date for receipt of applications is 10.00am on Wednesday 31stJuly 2024. We aim to interview during w/c 5th August.
